Summary
I am starting a new book called Enclave that is a novel that talks about a future distopia. In this distopia people leave under ground and they are divided when they turn 15 in 3 groups: Breeders, Builders and huntress. This distopia talks about a Deuce, a 15 years old girl who is chosen to be a huntress and she is really excited because she will go to the out side. In the Out side there are "Freaks", a monster that is like a zombie that eats all kind of meat. Deuce is assigned a partner called Fade, they disobey and as punishment they are sent to other settlement of people that is 3 days away of were they are. They start their journey and in the first knight when Duce is on guard she hears someone close to were she is.

"The enclave assembled on naming day, everyone who had survived to be named. We lost lost so many when they were young that we just called all the brats Boy or Girls, along with a number."(Aguirre 4)
When I read this quote I had an immediate connection to The Giver because of the naming ceremony. Then I also realise that kids have numbers and the little babies lake Gabe do. Finally they are chosen a work in the settlement and in The Giver the kids are assigned jobs
"In the third hour of my shift, I heard the scrape of claws on metal."(Aguirre 50)
Final Ideas and Conclusions
This book has a really good story and is similar to other utopias but I don't really like the story until this first point I have reached. I can tell Is very similar to The Giver because there is a naming ceremony, people are assigned jobs and they don't know anything about the past. Also this book talks about monsters and this is like a zombie movie were there is a zombie apocalypse and people need to survive by scarping and killing them. I think this book is not bad nor excellent either.
