Another Great Book

This week stories about bullying, were about a new type of bullying that exists in modern life. Bullying is no longer only in school or face to face but now is in computers, phones and in social networks. The bullies in this stories usually create a fake account of any social media to torment, bother a make life of this victims miserable. When the victim try to act against this they usually tell their parents but they can’t do anything because the account is not a real name of the person. When the bully is done and the victim knows who is bothering him he there are usually more than one so the victim can’t do anything. And I also finish this book that was really good and I have a great moment each time I read it.

“Someone created a Facebook page called “I Hate Erika.” It had over a hundred friends that had “liked” hateful content posted about me”. (Pell 182)

Thus story was really shocking and hard to read, not because of the type of writing but it was difficult because of the things Erika experienced. This type of bulling is very difficult to confront because the bully is protected by a computer and no one will ever know who it was. We need to be prepared for this type of bulling.

“However, all of these still required us to step up and talk with our children so we can keep them safe and healthy” (Durvasula 229).

This recommendation is the best thing that can be done to prevent children from bulling. We should do and follow this to live happy and without any struggle. Ramani Durvasula is the doctor who say this and it is very smart of her to say so.

This book was a really great one for everyone who wants to read and know more about bulling and also for people who don't know what it is. We should be prepared for a bulling situation so this book is a great choice for everyone. I will recommend this book to teenagers and to adults to know what to do in a situation like this one. Finally I will give this book a 5 out of 5 because it was an excellent one that thought great lessons and it can help everyone in the future.

Even Bullies Suffer

This week short stories were about the consequences of bulling in the bully. In all this different stories the results were similar, the bully stop being supported and they become weaker. After there had been damage the victim react and make the bystanders support him and not the bully so he is weaker and then he regret for his acts. Sometimes after the bully is no longer supported he tries to create a friendship with the victim that is not always found. When the bully tell this stories the reader can make an image that make them see all the pain they had feeling because they are alone.

"I suppose I don't really care what they think, but I do care what Joshua thinks about me" (Goldman 171).
This quote was about a bully who lost his friend because of what he had done. I can't imagine how awful will be to list your only friend because of his act. Everybody need to be very careful with their acts.

"I was once an average teenager who used humor to get to notice me, but now I know how much my words can hurt" (Dow 156)

Things can always change from one day to another such as in this quote were no one feels good with this bully around. Even if we are making jokes we need to follow what this quote said, not hurt people making jokes, be very careful. Like in this quote there had also being other similar quote were the bullies don't understand what they do and they lost friendships.

This chapters for the week had being really hard to read because of the pain you can see in the reading. You can feel how the bully is alone and everybody rejects and tries to be away from him. These chapters had made me realize and gave me a lesson about all the problems that there are because of bulling. As the other week I can tell this book is really helpful in live and we need to think in our acts and the consequences they will bring.

Everything Causes Bulling

This short stories that I read were very impacting because of all the discrimination that exists to people that are different from other people that are in majority. This stories were about victims who were bullied because of their beliefs, their edict, their skin color, people is homophobic, and because of their appearance. In all this cases the victim had many bullies because there are more people different to the victim. The experience that they write about is terrible because it explains who all the family is treated badly and how no kid defend them. The bullies from this stories belief that they are better than the other people because they are in majority and they are different in skin, race, gender and religion.

“There had always been rumors about my sexual orientation, but the painfully straight forward question made me cringe” (Sares 112).

This kid had tell a devastating story about how kids say he was gay because they see him with girl appearance. Instead of respecting him and living him alone, he was bullied a lot and bother with this. As seeing in this quote he had a bad time with all this commentaries he had even though anybody notice it.

The first fact everyone need to learn is that every bully starts as a victim, whether the victim of an abusive home life, a bad self-image, or another bully” (Norton 131).

Whit this fact I was really surprised because I could get to lots of conclusions for each of the stories I have read in the book. I can say that this can be right because bullies want to discharge all anger they have because that have a problem in someone who is the victim. I can tell that most of the bullies stories are related to this quote.

This few stories make me understand better how kids that are Jewish or had darker skin color are experience. I can tell that I had listen and read stories were this occurs and some people thing that this thing are pretty common. This is a big mistake in our society that we will need to change to be better. This book is teaching me a lot of lessons that I will apply in to my daily life; like not belief that I am better than other kid because I am with.
